Yes yes..I know it's been awhile. And yes there's been lots going on. But I've purposely stayed away to sort of...let things shake out. And while I so wanted to make this post on Nov 3..ELECTION NIGHT, it seemed more fitting to let all the races shake out. And post nearest to the 2009 January Inauguration date of our beloved barry obama almost two years ago exactly.
You remember the guy right? ...the lefts great 'Messiah'.

On November 3rd the people of this nation gave barry and his idiotic embarrassing party a spanking to end all spankings. A huge vote of NO CONFIDENCE.
After witnessing ineptitude and arrogance on such a grand scale for not even two years-found themselves with a huge amount of regret....

"How could he NOT be what we thought he was??"

Well...as I said two years ago...All one would have to do is look at his bio. Or lack of it. I said it..ME...LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG before Rush did...

That obama was destined to fail. Because :

1) He had no record of ANYTHING other than writing a silly book.
2) The things that he said he wanted to do...wouldn't work and couldn't work, due to not making sense! The numbers didn't add up and neither did the logic, not to mention the that all of what he wanted to do- had been tried by more competent socialists than he...and they STILL didn't work!!

The result was the GOP re-taking the house...by HUUUUUUUUUGE margins. And making a HUUUUUUUUUGE cut into the Senate! Not to mention the killing that the repubs made in legislatures and state houses across the country!

The dems and media downplayed it of course, but the nov 3rd elections were more than 'historic'..they were seismically historic! Severely devastating the dems, beyond what i think they are even aware of thus far.

Two years ago, on inauguration day, I wrote this:

"As for me...I almost feel a little bad for obama. He has been put on such a pedastal, (partially of his own doing), that when the crash happens...which it almost certainly will (cuz no man can be ALL things to all men)...
The crash will be.....SPECTACULAR.

And for that....I break out the really good popcorn."

On November 3rd...it was simply that. Spectacular! I said it would be and it was. And didn't take all that long for the fog of deceit from a slogan of 'hopenchange' to lift and the people to see the nothing that was voted in. And November 3rd we saw the people RUSH to start the process of expelling it from their midst.

Bring on 2012.

Looking back...when I did battle with "Countsy" and "Robo" (who i am on somewhat speaking terms with now)..I think it's safe to say that they were both so embarrassingly wrong. And I was so so SOOOO right. And as I said it then, I say it now.
--Is it because I'm a genius? No.
I am actually a genius but no..It's not because of that. It just because I base things always on facts, logic and common sense. Not a stupid slogan or bumper sticker mentality. I don't base things on simple emotion. To do so would make me a liberal.
And I am definitely not that.

"The Great Elaborator: Obama gives 17 minute answer to health care query in NC"

CHARLOTTE -- Even by President Obama's loquacious standards, an answer he gave here on health care Friday was a doozy.

Toward the end of a question-and-answer session with workers at an advanced battery technology manufacturer, a woman named Doris stood to ask the president whether it was a "wise decision to add more taxes to us with the health care" package.

"We are overtaxed as it is," Doris said bluntly.

Obama started out feisty. "Well, let's talk about that, because this is an area where there's been just a whole lot of misinformation, and I'm going to have to work hard over the next several months to clean up a lot of the misapprehensions that people have," the president said.

He then spent the next 17 minutes and 12 seconds lulling the crowd into a daze. His discursive answer -- more than 2,500 words long -- wandered from topic to topic, including commentary on the deficit, pay-as-you-go rules passed by Congress, Congressional Budget Office reports on Medicare waste, COBRA coverage, the Recovery Act and Federal Medical Assistance Percentages (he referred to this last item by its inside-the-Beltway name, "F-Map"). He talked about the notion of eliminating foreign aid (not worth it, he said). He invoked Warren Buffett, earmarks and the payroll tax that funds Medicare (referring to it, in fluent Washington lingo, as "FICA").

Always fond of lists, Obama ticked off his approach to health care -- twice. "Number one is that we are the only -- we have been, up until last week, the only advanced country that allows 50 million of its citizens to not have any health insurance," he said.

A few minutes later he got to the next point, which seemed awfully similar to the first. "Number two, you don't know who might end up being in that situation," he said, then carried on explaining further still.

"Point number three is that the way insurance companies have been operating, even if you've got health insurance, you don't always know what you got, because what has been increasingly the practice is that if you're not lucky enough to work for a big company that is a big pool, that essentially is almost a self-insurer, then what's happening is, is you're going out on the marketplace, you may be buying insurance, you think you're covered, but then when you get sick they decide to drop the insurance right when you need it," Obama continued, winding on with the answer.

Halfway through, an audience member on the riser yawned.

But Obama wasn't finished. He had a "final point," before starting again with another list -- of three points.

"What we said is, number one, we'll have the basic principle that everybody gets coverage," he said, before launching into the next two points, for a grand total of seven.

His wandering approach might not matter if Obama weren't being billed as the chief salesman of the health-care overhaul. Public opinion on the bill remains divided, and Democratic officials are planning to send Obama into the country to convince wary citizens that it will work for them in the long run.

It was not evident that he changed any minds at Friday's event. The audience sat politely, but people in the back of the room began to wander off.

Even Obama seemed to recognize that he had gone on too long. He apologized -- in keeping with the spirit of the moment, not once, but twice. "Boy, that was a long answer. I'm sorry," he said, drawing nervous laughter that sounded somewhat like relief as he wrapped up.

But, he said: "I hope I answered your question."

Obama's Approval Rating Hits New Low

Last week, President Obama signed historic health care reform legislation into law -- but his legislative success doesn't seem to have helped his image with the American public.

The latest CBS News Poll, conducted between March 29 and April 1, found Americans unhappier than ever with Mr. Obama's handling of health care - and still worried about the state of the economy.

President Obama's overall job approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 44 percent, down five points from late March, just before the health bill's passage in the House of Representatives. It's down 24 points since his all-time high last April. Forty-one percent of those polled said they disapproved of the president's performance.

More results from this CBS News Poll will be released in Friday's broadcast of the Evening News with Katie Couric, which airs at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.

When it comes to health care, the President's approval rating is even lower -- and is also a new all-time low. Only 34 percent approved, while 55 percent said they disapproved.

Americans are still worried about the economy, with 84 percent telling CBS they thought it was still in bad condition. However, even that high number represents an improvement: nine in ten thought the economy was bad during the last half of 2008 and at the beginning of 2009, when Mr. Obama assumed the Presidency.

Concern about job loss remains high; slightly more Americans now (35 percent) than in February (31 percent) were "very concerned" that someone in their household would lose a job. Nearly six in ten Americans said they were at least "somewhat concerned" about a job loss.

As has often been the case, lower-income Americans tend to be the most concerned about job loss.

This concern is reflected in yet another low approval rating -- this time for the President's handling of the economy. Just 42 percent said they approved of how President Obama is handling the economy, only one point above January's all-time low. Half of the public disapproves.

This poll was conducted among a random sample of 858 adults nationwide, interviewed by telephone March 29-April 1, 2010. Phone numbers were dialed from random digit dial samples of both standard land-line and cell phones. The error due to sampling for results based on the entire sample could be plus or minus three percentage points. The error for subgroups is higher. This poll release conforms to the Standards of Disclosure of the National Council on Public Polls.

I said from the beginning what would happen if obama won the election.
Less than a year into his presidency, I was able to say "I TOLD'JA SO",

I said that when it would happen (and it would happen quickly), the crash would be "spectacular".

I was correct...but with that let me say that the 'spectacular' part....has not yet occured. But we are getting very close to it. And it will absolutely demolish the dems. And with the jam down of obama care (which I also said would happen...THROUGH 'reconciliation')...... We're close to it.

So, with that...I can hear you asking yourself:
"where are we now oh great and powerful Handel!? The bill is passed, you magnificent bastard."

What will happen now? Well, now the fight continues towards November where this will be hammered down the throats of the dems.
All the while the taxes will start to come down on the public. Small biz will continue to struggle, and the recession will continue to drag on.
Once the elections happen and IF the Republicans take over even ONE chamber....we starve the bill.
STARVE it.

If the republicans take over even ONE chamber, guess who holds the purse strings...congress. And if the Republicans take over a chamber...obama care gets halted.
And if/when obama loses reelection....the repeal will happen and we can get to the business of doing real reform.

Is it because i am a genius? Well, it doesn't hurt to be a genius..(which I am. What? you haven't heard my tunes?..philistine!!)
But it isn't that I'm 'super smert'. Its simply because none of the obama numbers add up. They are destined to fail. The same way obama was destined to fail if anyone looked at his resume or history of experience. He's a nothing. Built from nothing. A cover with no actual pages.
So that is how I have been able to be razor sharp on my predictions.

The only way...obama had a chance (ironically)... is if the same thing happened to him that happened to Clinton. If the republicans knocked him back a step. Causing him to shelve obamacare.
Now thats gone. Obama care is here...and while its here for just a small time (before being repealed)....it will still cause enourmous damage. Damage to every household across the country.
Why? Because you:

...........CAN'T SPEND MONEY......YOU DON'T HAVE!!

It's always been about common sense. All of which democrats and obama have never had.
And sadly the American electorate last November took leave of, and is now paying the price for.
But that can be changed......all of it changed.....

As we reach the boiling point of this healthcare vote. Note: I do believe that this vote will happen and it will be passed. I've always believed that they would shove it through.
I also said from the begining that I believe it will be the end of the democrats in congress and the urkel obamas presidency.

*There will be a long road from here, as the republicans will hammer it with amendments and so forth to weaken it.
*Then the lawsuits come down from the States refusing to enact obama care due to explosive costs to the individual states.

Allllll the way to November. Aaaand then we will have a new congress. Pointing in a better direction.
Then we prepare to send the boy presidunce back to whence he came. And get to the serious work of repealing this bill.
And yeah...It can be done. All we need to have..or rather...continue to have, is the American people and 51 votes.

Now as I say that, you would do right to remember that: I have been correct from the moment obama was elected. Correct about what would happen. Correct about everything.

Wrong Bill At The Wrong Time

"""Even if Democrats extract the votes to put ObamaCare over the top, it will at best be a Pyrrhic victory for them. Regardless of the outcome, this monstrosity might cost the Democrats the Congress this November, ruin the party for a long time and prematurely render Barack Obama a lame duck president for the rest of his term.

So why didn't the Democrats pull back when they still had the chance? The reason is that both the Democratic Party and President Obama have mutually reinforcing blind spots that have rendered them incapable of seeing what's crystal clear to every other sentient being in the country: This was the wrong bill at the wrong time.

The only comic relief in the otherwise grim, yearlong ObamaCare saga has been the spectacle of progressive pundits scratching their heads to explain the bill's nose-diving popularity: Betsy McCaughey is a lying bitch whose chatter about death panels has spooked Americans; the bill is too tame for Americans who really want a public option; Democrats are just too damn nice to engage in the gutter partisan politics necessary to push their agenda through; Republicans are nay-saying obstructionists; and, my personal favorite, President Obama, arguably the most gifted orator alive, does not have the communication skills necessary to sell this bill (of goods).

In fact, the real reason why ObamaCare is so unpopular is that it is proposing a giant expansion of the entitlement state precisely when this state everywhere is coming apart: here and abroad; at the federal level and the state; in the public sector and the private. Suggesting a giant government takeover of a sixth of the economy can't be a popular selling point in a country whose DNA has a programmed hostility to Big Government.

Even before President Obama rammed through his trillion-dollar-plus stimulus/bailout packages last year, there was a growing sentiment that the country's top priority ought to be tackling the entitlement programs whose liabilities are like a swelling aneurysm in the brain of the body politic waiting to rupture. The combined unfunded liabilities of Medicare and Social Security--the federal health care and the pension programs for the elderly--are $107 trillion, seven times the current GDP. Meanwhile, Medicaid, the joint federal-state health insurance program, is consuming on average 21% of state budgets, their single biggest ticket item even before ObamaCare dumps another 16 million people into the program, expanding the Medicaid population by 25%. Beyond that, state and local government have promised their employees a trillion dollars more in pension and other benefits than they have funds to deliver.

There are not enough taxpayers in the country or creditors in China capable of financing all these promises. Expanding this massive, multifarious entitlement state even more strikes most normal people as sheer lunacy--especially now that it is visibly coming apart at the seams.

General Motors and Chrysler--the corporate version of the public welfare state in which unions had negotiated the best wage and pension deals in the free world--have already been forced into a taxpayer-financed bankruptcy. California, America's most European state, is technically bankrupt, thanks to the ubiquitous influence on the state budget of its public unions and its entitlement spending. Meanwhile, the deficits and debt of the so-called European PIGS (Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain)--the social democracies whose cradle-to-grave welfare policies are the inspiration behind ObamaCare--are on the brink of bankruptcy. Greece, the most vulnerable of the lot, has a deficit of 12.7% of the GDP--not that much higher than America's 10.6 %.

Pushing ObamaCare was an astonishing misjudgment, the domestic policy equivalent of President Bush launching a full-scale preemptive strike against Iran after embroiling the country in Iraq and Afghanistan. But why don't progressives get that this is terrible economic timing? Because this is the moment they have been waiting for since Lyndon Johnson enacted Medicare. Never mind that the economy then, unlike now, was booming. What matters is they have in the White House as sympathetic a president as they can ever hope to get--combined with sizable margins of Democrats in both chambers. Republicans, moreover, have been thoroughly discredited on both foreign and domestic policy having presided over two unpopular wars and a financial meltdown of epic proportions. In short, the political stars have never been--and likely never will be--aligned more auspiciously in the progressives' lifetime, and they will be damned if they'll allow quotidian worries about the economy or anything else to stop them. It is now or never.

There is no tactic too low to deploy--and no cause too sacred to abandon. If Americans are unenthused about universal coverage, screw 'em. If it is necessary to use reconciliation--meant strictly for budgetary matters--to ram the bill through Congress on a strictly partisan vote, then so be it. If filibuster rules that Democrats themselves restored in 1975 are now coming in the way, get rid of them.

The prize for the most bizzaro accusation, however, goes to Katha Pollitt of The Nation who blamed ObamaCare's woes on the two-senators-per-state rule that she alleged the Founding Fathers had enshrined in the Constitution as a sop to slave states, thereby diluting the voice of populous multiethnic powerhouses such as New York and California. But this fundamental principle of our bicameral constitution had nothing to do with slavery, a fact she was forced to finally admit. It was meant to give the underdogs of the day--rural, relatively powerless states--constitutional parity, a concern that one would have thought progressives would applaud.

But egged on by the progressive punditocracy, Democrats are behaving as if, once they jam ObamaCare through, nothing else matters. It's like they'll never have to worry about being the minority party in need of constitutional checks and balances.

A sensible president would of course step in and provide some adult supervision to a wayward party hell-bent on jumping off this cliff. But the problem is that President Obama believes in his own messianism too deeply for that. His goal is not to remake his party as it could be but "remake this world as it should be." In his book Dreams From My Father Obama gives the distinct impression that his gifts are too great for the smallness of our political stage. He regrets not having been born during the civil rights era when the grandness of the cause would have measured up to the grandness of his ambition. He is in search of something big that will allow him to make his mark on the world as Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King did. Hence, the defeat of ObamaCare would not just be par for the course in the rough-and-tumble world of politics for him. It would be sign of his ordinariness, his mortality, and that, to him, is unendurable.

But the rub is that even if ObamaCare passes, Democrats and President Obama will lose. Republicans have already vowed to make November a referendum on this bill and, by all auguries, Democrats are going to lose big time. The loss of one election if the larger cause succeeds wouldn't be a big deal. But this bill has little legitimacy and for years might be tied up in constitutional challenges against its individual mandate provision--not to mention the provisions that turn insurance companies into public utilities without due process. ObamaCare could well become President Obama's Iraq. Worst of all from the standpoint of his personal life story, it will exacerbate the crisis of the entitlement state, requiring someone else to step forward and clean up the fiscal mess he is creating.

Ironically, Obama is not only sowing the seeds for the destruction of his own legacy--but also for the creation of someone else's. Far from being the savior--he's the one who will be in need of saving."""

""In "The March of Folly," Barbara Tuchman asked, "Why do holders of high office so often act contrary to the way reason points and enlightened self-interest suggests?" Her assessment of self-deception -- "acting according to wish while not allowing oneself to be deflected by the facts" -- captures the conditions that are gripping President Obama and the Democratic Party leadership as they renew their efforts to enact health-care reform.

Their blind persistence in the face of reality threatens to turn this political march of folly into an electoral rout in November. In the wake of the stinging loss in Massachusetts, there was a moment when the president and the Democratic leadership seemed to realize the reality of the health-care situation. Yet like some seductive siren of Greek mythology, the lure of health-care reform has arisen again.

As pollsters to the past two Democratic presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, respectively, we feel compelled to challenge the myths that seem to be prevailing in the political discourse and to once again urge a change in course before it is too late. At stake is the kind of mainstream, common-sense Democratic Party that we believe is crucial to the success of the American enterprise.

Bluntly put, this is the political reality:

First, the battle for public opinion has been lost. Comprehensive health care has been lost. If it fails, as appears possible, Democrats will face the brunt of the electorate's reaction. If it passes, however, Democrats will face a far greater calamitous reaction at the polls. Wishing, praying or pretending will not change these outcomes

Nothing has been more disconcerting than to watch Democratic politicians and their media supporters deceive themselves into believing that the public favors the Democrats' current health-care plan. Yes, most Americans believe, as we do, that real health-care reform is needed. And yes, certain proposals in the plan are supported by the public.

However, a solid majority of Americans opposes the massive health-reform plan. Four-fifths of those who oppose the plan strongly oppose it, according to Rasmussen polling this week, while only half of those who support the plan do so strongly. Many more Americans believe the legislation will worsen their health care, cost them more personally and add significantly to the national deficit. Never in our experience as pollsters can we recall such self-deluding misconstruction of survey data.

The White House document released Thursday arguing that reform is becoming more popular is in large part fighting the last war. This isn't 1994; it's 2010. And the bottom line is that the American public is overwhelmingly against this bill in its totality even if they like some of its parts.

The notion that once enactment is forced, the public will suddenly embrace health-care reform could not be further from the truth -- and is likely to become a rallying cry for disaffected Republicans, independents and, yes, Democrats.

Second, the country is moving away from big government, with distrust growing more generally toward the role of government in our lives. Scott Rasmussen asked last month whose decisions people feared more in health care: that of the federal government or of insurance companies. By 51 percent to 39 percent, respondents feared the decisions of federal government more. This is astounding given the generally negative perception of insurance companies.

CNN found last month that 56 percent of Americans believe that the government has become so powerful it constitutes an immediate threat to the freedom and rights of citizens. When only 21 percent of Americans say that Washington operates with the consent of the governed, as was also reported last month, we face an alarming crisis.

Health care is no longer a debate about the merits of specific initiatives. Since the spectacle of Christmas dealmaking to ensure passage of the Senate bill, the issue, in voters' minds, has become less about health care than about the government and a political majority that will neither hear nor heed the will of the people.

Voters are hardly enthralled with the GOP, but the Democrats are pursuing policies that are out of step with the way ordinary Americans think and feel about politics and government. Barring some change of approach, they will be punished severely at the polls.

Now, we vigorously opposed Republican efforts in the Bush administration to employ the "nuclear option" in judicial confirmations. We are similarly concerned by Democrats' efforts to manipulate passage of a health-care bill. Doing so in the face of constant majority opposition invites a backlash against the party at every level -- and at a time when it already faces the prospect of losing 30 or more House seats and eight or more Senate seats.

For Democrats to begin turning around their political fortunes there has to be a frank acknowledgement that the comprehensive health-care initiative is a failure, regardless of whether it passes. There are enough Republican and Democratic proposals -- such as purchasing insurance across state lines, malpractice reform, incrementally increasing coverage, initiatives to hold down costs, covering preexisting conditions and ensuring portability -- that can win bipartisan support. It is not a question of starting over but of taking the best of both parties and presenting that as representative of what we need to do to achieve meaningful reform. Such a proposal could even become a template for the central agenda items for the American people: jobs and economic development.

Unless the Democrats fundamentally change their approach, they will produce not just a march of folly but also run the risk of unmitigated disaster in November.""

Now, the bikini-clad "Obama Girl" -- who famously cooed about her "crush" throughout the presidential campaign on YouTube videos -- admits the thrill is gone.

Amber Lee Ettinger -- the buxom sensation who lip-synched about her love for then-candidate Barack Obama -- said she wishes he spent his first year in office more focused on fixing the abysmal economy.

"I think he's doing an OK job," said Ettinger, whose original "Crush on Obama" video, first shown in 2007, has had more than 16.5 million views on YouTube.

"I know he's getting a lot of flak for things that he's not doing," she told The Post. "In my opinion, I feel like he should be focusing a lot more on jobs and the economy."

Ettinger, 28, said that even though she doesn't have health care -- "I can't afford it" -- she still thinks Obama should have waited to tackle the thorny legislation that has been blamed for the devastating Democratic loss of Ted Kennedy's Senate seat.

The frustrating thing for me and for any one really wanting some sort of health care REFORM. Is that it IS possible to have it. All that is needed is :

1) Dems have to abandon the foolish notion that they have any idea of what they're doing.
2) Work with us grown ups that do know what we're doing.

If that happens, then obama can travel down the road that Bill Clinton traveled.
If not, then he can travel down the road that carter traveled.

My prediction:

Obama is a child...and he is hemmed in with other children (pelosi , reid, frank etc) .
Arrogant, immature and foolish.
He will not switch gears. Therefore willingly thrusting the country into a dangerous, dangerous hole. The only saving grace is that the adults can now have options to shut the children down and put them in the corner.

A week after the truly historic election in Massachusetts, Obama and the dems have been saying that they 'get it'. That the election last Tuesday wasn't a referendum on obama care, but instead that it was because the people didn't feel like obama was ...DOING ENOUGH to get it through???
REALLY? Are these people THAT stupid? Well....yes.
But this isn't about them being stupid..this is about them desperately wanting their insane philosophy to work. And they're willing , against all evidence that shows it DOESN'T work...they are willing to drive the country right into the ground.

Scott Browns election last Tuesday sent shock waves through the country and sent the politicians quivering. But now the thought is..that the public reaction in Mass, is due to obama not spending enough, and not jamming his health care through. EVEN THOUGH Scott Brown ran SPECIFICALLY on STOPPING obama care.

So...after the defeats in Virginia, New Jersey and the devastating defeat in Mass...what is the boy prez gonna say at the state of the union tonight?

Here's what I predict:

Look for him to come out and give lip service. In his very eloquent way (which seems to be his only real talent) to say that he "hears us".
His proposed 'spending freeze' that was unveiled the other day, will be touted tonight as evidence that he is NOW a fiscal conservative. A spending freeze that does absolutely NOTHING to curb our fiscal bleeding.
Look for other things to be brought out that are nothing more than dressing..WINDOW DRESSING to make it look to folks (specifically the independents that are flocking away from him in droves) like he is really working and taking steps to solve the countries economic death crawl.
This...should be insulting to every THINKING American. Because quite frankly...he and the dems think your a moron. This is designed to fool you into thinking that it means anything. Fool you into thinking that after a year of NON STOP irresponsible spending, that he is NOW the responsible leader with his fingers locked on the purse straps.

Uh huh...right.

The sad thing is, that this is and will move some people, cause quite frankly some people are truly stupid. I mean comon...people DID vote for him based on nothing more than oratory..and that's WHO this speech is designed for.
Now we'll see just how many are fooled.

On the upside: It will fail. Why? Because the policies..the policies that OBAMA and the dems are putting forth, don't work. They CAN'T work. And the evidence will be obvious.
As the policies that were put forth a year ago are now.....obvious. (remember..I was right. On ALL counts.)

All you or anyone else has to do..is do a little research. And those that would be fooled tonight by empty eloquence, all you have to do is wake up for just a split second from your self imposed coma and take notice:
You see that pool of blood your sleeping in? That's from your self inflicted wound from a year ago.
Don't make the same mistake twice, fooled by the same flowery emptiness.

As I said, I had several discussions and arguments with Steve Hulett. Pretty much amounting to nothing more than me venting my displeasure with the wasting of funds.
There really was very little that could be done about it from a 'member' standpoint.

Frustrating? Sure! you bet...but it is what it is. You voice your two and a half bits and move onto other things in your life.
That frustration kicked up a notch when the industry was really starting to feel some of those pains. Many people were being laid off in pretty much all the studios. Disney, Dreamworks, Warner Brothers, etc. Many people were gravitating towards the television studios. Places like Philm Roman, Nickelodeon, Klasky Csupo, Cartoon Network, WB TV....These places were doing things and.. were hiring.
What irked me, is that the illustrious fearless leader of the union...a one Tom Sito...sent out a letter in the union newsletter (The "pegboard") slamming those who would work in Television. slamming those that are working in 'non union houses'. People that (like those in the union) have families and bills to pay and mortgages hanging overhead.
People with responsibilities.
Slamming them and besmirching them, saying that they are hurting the animation industry by doing so. Harming the industry and harming those in the industry by daring to go against the union grain and work in 'non union' houses.
In short...vilifying them.

"DON'T WORK AT THEM UNTIL THEY COME AROUND AND SEE THE LIGHT! UNTIL THEY JOIN!"

"Of course. I mean after all numbskulls, they (non union shops) don't care about you. All they (non union shops) want to do is get cheap labor, send things over seas, lay you off at a moments notice. Take advantage of you! YOU NEED US ( the 'Union') to PROTECT YOU!"

Uh huh...yeah.

IT was no big surprise...(not to me anyway) to learn that Warner Brothers Feature Animation back in 2000 was (yup..you guessed it) OUTSOURCING WORK.
To Canada (and other places if I'm not mistaken. But definitely Canada). Animation, Clean-up, Inbetween, you name it.

"WHOA WHOA WHOA! Handel...Isn't Warner Brothers a Feature Film studio? That would make it a UNION SHOP, right?"

Yuuuuuuuuuup. That would make it a union shop. The very same Union that REQUIRES you to join the Union in order for you to work at feature film studios like Warner Brothers. Cuz after all, You need to be UNION so that they can protect you! After all..you don't want things to be like the NON UNION houses (like Television) where your jobs are shipped somewhere else do you?

Here's the real kicker though. Who do you think was the animation Director on the Warner Brothers release ('osmosis jones') at that time ?

TOM SITO...... UNION PRESIDENT

How do ya like them cranapples?

The very same Tom Sito that chastised people for working in non union houses. Slammed those who would dare work in television.
He was working as an ANIMATION DIRECTOR at a UNION SHOP, on a film that was indeed OUTSOURCING animation gigs. To Canada.
Now...wouldn't you think that that might warrant some sort of dialogue around the round table at the union offices about possible conflicts of interest..or maybe how doing so would in essence make him (Sito) the epitome of the 'ultimate hypocrite'?
How utterly ridiculous this would make him and the precious Union look?

Now, I know that there was some blow back on this. ( I know I put my two bits in).
There was a response from him saying that its out of his control. He's just an employee at the studio.. and people have to work and so does he...(or some such nonsense).

Mind you...its not so much nonsense, because that's what everyone who were clamoring for the non union gigs when features hit the skids...that's what THEY were saying.
But to hear Tom Sito (union prez) say something even remotely close to that, especially after bashing those that were working in TV for doing so....
It seems to me, just out of sheer principal...it seems as though he should have stepped aside and said (and said loudly), that I can NOT accept this position as animation director for this film...as long as you are following policies that are against what my hard fought beliefs are."
"VIVA UNION !"

But again...that is only if you are a principled person.

I worked in Union feature houses, and I worked in non union television houses..and then I went back to features again. I, like most people in animation can speak about both working conditions.

when I went back to features, I worked at Sony Imageworks. Mind you...things were really bad in animation. And everyone knew it. That obviously included the studios.
It was a buyers market baby...and boy were they picking the fruits!!

Rampant exploitation. The studios were making people work longer hours with no overtime.
Coming right out and saying that if you didn't do what they (the studio) wanted and how they wanted it done...sayonara baby.

Steve Hulett, who is and has been the Union business rep...one of his duties (apparently) is to walk the halls of the studios, and say...""So..hows everything going?""

I saw him quite abit, and spoke to him (as many others did, no doubt) about what was happening at Sony.
His response was this...""Well..You could fill out a form..File a complaint...""
When asked about protection from being fired if we did so...He said:""Well..that is always the risk""

I asked : So what happens after a report is filled?

Hulett: ""We would call them and speak to them about it, bother them...."
ME: "that's it?"
Hulett: ""Well..that's about it, there's really not that much we could do at this point. The industry is really hurting. Buyers market...""

So...That's that.

Again...You are told that you are REQUIRED to join the union. For protection against the BIG BAD STUDIOS. But what it comes down to..is that there really is not alot that the union can do.
Other than bitch and whine about the non union houses that still hasn't bowed and kissed the union ring. Its not so much about 'protecting you' the worker. It is very much about getting more people signed in.
CORRECTION!
Getting more studios signed into the union and therefore EVERYONE IN THAT STUDIO (like it or not) forced to be in the union.

Why?

The more people signed...the more union dues that are collected. The more money taken away from you. The union stays fat and happy (see picture above).

Its a bizness folks! The Union is a bizness. Based on extortion.
Its Jesse Jackson without the black, and without the rhymes.

Now...while the union is yelling at the people who are working in non union houses ( Being scolded for doing so, by a union president who is himself - working at a FEATURE studio as an animation director....WHO IS OUTSOURCING WORK TO CANADA)
While all of that is happening...those people who have worked at both Union and non union shops find out some very interesting tidbits.

I can safely say that the most fun I've had was working in development at a feature house. The second MOST FUN I've had has been in NON UNION shops.
I have been more poorly treated at 'Union shops' then I have at non union shops. There is pretty much absolutely no difference in security. You can be laid off just as easily and just as quickly at a union shop as a non union shop.
You can also stay just as long at a non union shop as you could a union shop.
It all depends on what is happening at either place, really.

So lets look at it this way.

The union tells you its BETTER to be in the union than out of the union. But is it?

**There is no more security being IN the union than that of NON union.
**You can be taken advantage just as easily at a UNION shop as you could a NON union shop.
**The union says that the non union shops send stuff overseas but..so will ( AND DO) the union shops. By the UNION PRESIDENT himself!
** There's not much a Union can do (they're own words) if the studio starts to rip you off. The only difference is that the union is forcing you to pay them (the Union) so that they can tell you that!
At least with a non union shop, you are KEEPING that money.

I have, since that time, worked at non union shops exclusively. And I can tell you, that like any entertainment industry..you have ups and downs. But in the downs...there are the feelings of more control over things. Mainly because the jobs are more abundant, so that there is SOMETHING to always grab onto. Something to do.

A great deal of the reason that there are, is that the union is not there...screwing things up!
Unions can be a cancer. Not always..but often, they are. They can make things so difficult that they would rather people be out of work than compromise on an issue.
They would argue that, and argue that with vigor and passion no doubt!
But lets look at some examples.

Michigan: A bastion of Union activism...Michigan is in the toilet.
Most places that have a union at the helm are in the toilet.

Teachers Unions are killing American education. making it difficult to impossible to get rid of terrible teachers, and dumbing down our education to cover up for their incompetence.

The entertainment areas: When the writers strike hit, it affected TONS of other people in the industry. Besides the writers. So many people were hit and hit hard. People such as those that work as camera people, set builders, craftsmen, designers, etc etc. All because the union wanted to hold firm on a point.
People were hurt. People with families . And the union didn't give a damn.

There are so many examples of union caca..its not even funny. you see...Its not about teaching our kids. Its not about protecting the worker.

It is about acquiring power. And keeping it.

It's politics.
It means dragging money out of you or you don't work. It means pushing candidates that meet the unions political needs, To benefit the union--not the workers.

Baby cakes..you aren't even in the equation. BUT your invited to the meeting.
Have a slice of pizza (after all..you paid for it) and a beer, and shut the hell up.

The places with worker unions are in desperate desperate times. Across the country.
The ones that aren't shackled to the unions..... are doing better. Growing.
People are working, and people are thriving.

The people/workers as WELL as the businesses!
While the Places with Unions and the people forced to work under them are NOT.

Its been a long time since I've had an "animation industry" post. I've been so busy with the politics of present I've literally had TOO much to comment on and too little time to do it. It's proven hard to keep up with the incompetence of the boy wonder obama, that I just have not been able to carve out the needed time to post an 'industry' post.
So being that I haven't had an industry post in quite a while, I thought I'd comment on this little nugget from the past.

"The Union"

Specifically the animation guild, Local 839. First let me preface my comment on this possible two part post, by saying that I am not anti union. Not at all.
In its most ideal form, the union is a beeeeeeeeeee-autiful thing. The organization that looks out for the little guy. Fights for the oppressed worker! Attempts to level the playing field! Dons its armor, shield and sword to do battle with the mean, big, old animation studios!!

Our hero's.

But in the real world....when you are confronted with the realization the the Disney studios is not the magical place where you could walk in off the street and see employees playing in a makeshift 'fireman' jazz band, or where everyone walks around whistling zipadee doo da out of there nether crevasses....You also come to realize that the union is..in a nutshell...a racket.

Now, are there are good things about the union?
Of course.
But one thing I found out early was the union is only as powerful or as effective as the times that they are in.
Back when I was starting in the animation world, it was BOOM TIME! Every one was working! Every one was having fantastic times! We was rollin' baby!
The union touted success after success. And some of it rightly so! It was a form of 'sellers market' in animation. I remember being really stoked to have this union. I thought "Man! They are really REALLY on top of this stuff!" I remember really being glad that Tom Sito was at the helm.
But, looking back..that had more to do with the times and less to do with the union or with Tom.

Now let me say..I'm not anti Tom Sito. Far from it! I think Tom is an amiable feller. With a twinkle in his eye, a broad face and a little round belly, that shook when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly..yeah...sure! He was indeed chubby and plump. A right jolly old elf! >:)

If you ever want to have a drink with him and get some useful information about how many toes bugs almost had or if Walt had a freckle on his left testicle that had to be removed, (you know, real important stuff like that), then you couldn't ask for a better person to hang with.
But as the union head honcho back then...he was just another bureaucrat. Another pol. Ironically, another "head honcho" of the sort that he no doubt disliked from the big old nasty studios.
Only HIS cause was a moral one, cuz he fought for the common man, don'tcha know?
To be fair, he is a nice guy. But you really have to (like all politicians) keep in mind that he's in it for Tom, and once you have it in mind that he really doesn't give a rats assy about individuals in the industry, then your in good company with him.

NOW... let me lay some ground work for ya. To work in the industry..for feature films...You had to BE in the union. Required.
You want to work, you have to join. No join...no work.
With that..that means you pay fees. Or as they dress them up.....'dues'.
These "fees/dues" are usually spent on political causes or political candidates ...usually leftist democrats. Not due to any evidence that they (the democrat candidates and causes) ACTUALLY HELP business or workers, but just because they say they do. And because Tom and Steve Hulett are in fact democrats.
Now they would say (and have said to me) : "well you do have a say in where your money (dues) go to."
But being that many in the entertainment field pretty much have the same insipid mindset as Tom and Steve...any 'say ' is pretty much voided out.
My beef is that if I DON'T want my money going to people or causes that I FEEL harm our industry BASED ON FACTS and the RECORDS of those individuals....I should have the option of 'opting out'.
Now I've had several run ins with Steve Hulett where I stated JUST THAT. After a long lengthy argument, he finally said: "well you do have an opt out. You don't have to be in the union".
Which led me to ask "oh so I don't have to be in the union, but I can still work in studio".
Heulett : "no...."

So basically...If one wanted to work, you have to be in the union and you have to pay dues and you have no say as to how those dues are (foolishly) spent. (can anyone say extortion?)
I had a few talks with Hulett . Especially was when the animation industry was starting to go into its crash. I was adamantly against spending any more money on political candidates due to their histories and stances that was causing more and more work to be sent overseas. Not just in the animation world but across the board in the entertainment fields.
The candidates and stances were all leftists, by all democrats...and the union was endorsing them. With OUR money. With plans to keep doing so.
Yeah..that got me cranky and I said so.

I mention Steve Hulett. Who is himself a nice guy. But like Sito, a racketeer (in my humble opinion). A recruiter for the cause.
When I was a starry eyed CAl-Arts student, I remember Steve Hulett coming in and giving us a talk in the life drawing room. I remember thinkin, '"ooo yeah..wow..that makes sense!" And really..much of it did make sense. The studios are bastards that will take advantage of you in any way possible!
But... what he neglected to say- was that the union were bastards too, that will take advantage of you as well. Also that they (unions) CAN be a force that can make things EXTREMELY bad for workers and cause mass unemployment due to being totally unreasonable.
But see...that's stuff that doesn't play well when they're trying to depict themselves as the ones wearing the white hats.

Carlos Vadillo, a fixed-income analyst at Wells Fargo Securities LLC in San Francisco, said Obama has been in a “constant war” with the banking system, using “fat-cat bankers and other misnomers to describe a business model which supports a large portion of America.”

The problem "air america" has is the same problem that the liberal mindset had in Massachusetts and really across the country. And that is a revulsion to that liberal mindset. A revulsion to liberal philosophy. To liberal 'values' across the board !
In short "Air America" failed for the same reason liberal philosophy fails.....It just plain sucks.

Well.....here we be. One year in. Lets take a looksie at where we 'the people' are.
It was just one year to the day that obama, (also known as "the one", "the Messiah", or "the black JFK")...stood and took his oath of office. Inauguration day.
Throngs were present to welcome in the new president. The one that they placed all their hopes on. Enchanted by the message of "hope". Beguiled by the notion of "change". Hypnotized by the phrase "yes we can".
Enchanted and Giddy at their own obvious sophistication of voting for the 'first black president'....

One problem.

None..NONE of those things mean a damn thing.
Because when you come down to it, They are nothing more than slogans, and being black doesn't mean ones escapes being an incompetent. (just ask jesse!)
In short...people voted for a nothing BASED on NOTHING.
Thus is the danger of voting with little more than emotion and absolutely no intellect.

But lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. Lets look back at the year that was, shall we?
Here are just a few tidbits:

-In Feb 2009, Obama and the dems passed an 800 BILLION "stimulus" bill. NO republicans supported it and voted against it.
The dems said that "It MUST be passed. It will stave off unemployment at 8%!! To NOT pass it would be a catastrophe"
The republicans said that 'the bill is NOT a stimulus, and that there is nothing in it to stimulate the economy. In fact that it was so pork laden that it would have the opposite effect'.

The result: (of course) a 800 billion pork bill loaded with massive spending resulting in a spike of unemployment to 10.2%
10.2%..........
The dems now claim that it "worked". (wow..)

- A dangerous childlike view of the world that was insistent in coddling up to evil, to the extent of throwing out (in a very public way) the term "terrorist", "terrorism", and "war on terror" and replacing them with "suspected terrorist", and "man made disaster" in a misguided want to make nicey nice with them.
Therefore emboldening terrorists and despots like Chavez and Irans Ahmadinejad, and North Korea's Kim Jong-il, and Russia's Putin. Sending a clear signal to them that we are not to be taken seriously.
The result: Iran, and North Korea are rapidly progressing to having nuclear weapons and Putin and China's power is growing...while we are shrinking.

- Many supported the prez idea in the campaign that terrorists ( sorry..I mean "suspected terrorists") be given all the rights of a U.S citizen in U.S. courts..
The result?: A total collapse of interrogation, replaced by political correctness and a fear by our intelligence that they will be brought up on charges if they do any thing at all.
IN FACT...Due to our safeguards being totally lowered (or rather, non existent) A terrorist that should have been detected was allowed onto a flight and was close to detonating a bomb. The only thing that stopped the plane from exploding in mid air was the bombers incompetence. That's it.
Upon being taken into custody, the bomber was talking freely and giving information....until someone said "he needs a lawyer". Upon getting a lawyer...he stopped talking.
Robo? Isn't this what you and I were arguing about? Our NEW brilliant policy now is that we now have to give them Miranda rights. Congratulations on this absolutely brilliant concept.
Other tidbits of obama brilliance:

- KSM to be tried in US courts, giving Al Qaeda a huge propaganda platform, and also a very real possibility of getting off due to technicalities.
- Charges dropped against the USS Cole bomber.
- obama waits three months to make a decision to listen to his Generals and send needed troops.
- takeover of auto companies
- The democrats and the AIG bonuses.
- The ACORN Scandals
- The never ending stream of Extremists appointments like Van Jones and Cass R. Sunstein, Carol Browner and Anita Dunn (to name a few).
- A health care bill that no one wants due it bankrupting the country.
- A crippling deficit that continues to mount due to irresponsible spending and giveaways.
- An over reaching cram down of his idiotic policies by dem congress that the people DON'T want.
- The bribing of congress members, and back room deals with special interests.
- The closed door dealings with dem members when "TRANSPARENCY" was promised.

SO!! What and where does this leave us? Whats the result of these many many missteps and foul ups?

A drop for his poll numbers quicker than any other president in history. Across the board for him AND HIS POLICIES. (Health care, Economy, Terrorism, foreign policy, Etc Etc Etc!)
Dragging not only Him down but also the other democrats. Spurring on a rush of democrat resignations and leading him to go and stump for democrats like Corzine (jersy) Deeds (Virginia).....who ended up LOSING their seats to republicans. By no small margins.

Bringing us to last Tuesday..

The democrats went into utter chaos when it found itself in an actual horse race of a special election. Finding itself in danger of losing their filibuster proof 60 votes in the senate which enabled them to cram down 'obama care' and the rest of their agenda . UNCONTESTED.
HERE'S the yummy part.
The seat in question is none other than the seat that was held for many a year by .....TED KENNEDY.

MASSACHUSETTS !

Kennedy..The very guy who said that universal health care was his 'lifelong bottle'(woops I mean 'battle') , his 'life cause'!
A 'life cause' Now in jeopardy of being torpedoed by the loss of the seat...TO A REPUBLICAN!!
HOW DELISH IS THAT?!

The very notion was silly to lefty commentators, and laughed at roundly. But it got soo close that obama himself was sent to stump for the dem candidate.
So surely that would put her over the top...right?
Or would it be the same embarrassing (and losing) outcome of his stumping for the dem candidates in Jersey and Virginia?

OUTCOME and RESULT:
Meet the NEW Senator from Massachusetts: Republican Scott Brown.
RIP: 'Obama-care', 'Cap and Trade', etc.
"Teddy's seat" was lost. "Camelot" officially dead. And a 'blue state' went...BROWN. By five points!!

There has been almost more than I could write about..the level of incompetency has been so staggering and so abundant that it's been almost impossible to keep up.

The latest coming from the oh so close Christmas disaster of the 'pantie bomber'...
The only thing stopping this guy was his own incompetency. Not only was it chilling to know how close this plane filled with people came to blowing up, but also chilling to hear obama's people (with obama signing off to the statements) saying that the 'system worked'.

Folks....we are in for some very dark days...because obama....well, he's not dropping the ball. He's forfeited the game.

Where Has the Thrill Gone?

The Harder They Fall?

"Who appointed over 40 ambassadors on the sole basis of campaign contributions, or has as many lobbyists in government as did any President in memory? And who releases touchy news—whether increased unemployment or trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in civil courts—on Friday nights, or wants his Democratically-controlled Congress to debate unpopular legislation on Saturday nights?

You see where this is going. Prophets fall harder than normal politicians. When you claim that seas recede and planets cool before your presence, and that Latin mottos, new presidential candidate seals, neo-classical victory trophies, and faux-Greek temple sets are the appropriate backdrops for Your speeches, then you raise the bar a bit high. Obama is not necessarily any more partisan than a Nixon or Reagan or Bush, only just as partisan—but when he claimed something quite different.

Add in the hope/change mantra, and a cadre of lackeys talking about tingling legs, his majesty Caesar, and apotheosis into a “god”, and our young Icarus was simply soaring too near the sun for his own fragile wax-feather wings. The problem is not just that Obama is proving Clinton-like in his Chicago hardball partisanship (cf. the trash-talk of Rahm Emanuel, Mao-admirer Anita Dunn, or the Truther Van Jones), but that his entire persona was fabricated on a touchy-feely “there is no red state, no blue state America.”

Despite Obama’s vows to restore science to its rightful place in government (I think that was his dig at George Bush’s opposition to human embryo, stem-cell research), we get superstition. Instead of the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ non-partisan, depressing unemployment figures, we are instead to rely on a new unproven notion of jobs “saved” and “created”, and in nonexistent, made-up congressional districts, listed, no less, on a government recovery.gov official website. War against reason?

Remember the “reset” button promises abroad? Do we have a safer, saner relationship with Putin? Is Iran closer to disarmament? North Korea quieter? Did George Mitchell transform the Middle East? Is the “good” war still good, the “bad” one still bad? Do the Brits feel the special relationship is stronger? Maybe Sarkozy is more impressed now with America, or are the Poles and Czechs?

And do Chavez, Castro, Ortega, Morales, Zelaya, and others in Latin America feel more pressure to be democratic or less? Is one third of the planet in India and China more comfortable with the messiah Obama or with the hated Bush?

At Home

And the future? Will the country look eagerly forward to cap-and-trade taxes? The new income tax rates? Will small businesses like the caps off FICA taxable income, and health care surcharges? Perhaps the people can get behind impending “comprehensive immigration reform” (in the way we are now for “comprehensive health care”), which will de-emphasize enforcement and emphasize amnesty?

As Obama’s popularity falls, expect his own partisanship to increase, and the Chicago brass knuckles to be more evident. Obama knows that he can hope and change only until he hits 35-40% approval ratings, and is rendered shouting to half-empty audience halls and a triangulating congress.

Full Steam Ahead

A final prognosis—or why Obama is in deep, deep trouble, since he won’t quit in his dream to transmogrify American into something like Belgium at best and Brazil at worse.

Millions of independents and swing voters went for Obama for five reasons: (1) they believed the media hype that Bush was the “worst” (fill in the blanks); (2) the sudden financial panic of September 2008 and the anger at Wall Street banditry and bail-outs; (3) Obama’s youth, charm, and oratory; (4) the feel-good novelty of voting in our first African-American president; (5) Obama’s centrist campaign message of paying down debt, working with allies, drilling, being tough against Al Qaeda, and being bipartisan.

It’s taken almost 11 months, but voters now know that propositions 1-5 are now refuted or irrelevant:

1) Bush is history. Like Truman, in time he will begin to look better not worse. More importantly, Bush’s sins that bothered voters— too much big government and big deficits—were simply trumped by Obama’s gargantuan deficits and federalization of health care, banking, and the auto industry. “Bush did it” doesn’t work any more. “Obama did it even more” is the new worry.

2) The panic that we would lose all our 401(k’s) and home equity has passed. What we are left with in its wake is a sinking feeling that badgering small business and the Chamber of Commerce, as if they are Goldman Sachs grandees, isn’t working. Raising income, payroll, and surcharge taxes at a time state, local, and sales taxes are surging, is, well, a good way to turn a recession into a depression—or at least a stagflating, weak recovery. Sometime around next March, “Bush’s did it” will transmogrify into Obama’s recession. Obama can’t run against the economy, but must fix it—or take the blame. His best hope is that the Republicans don’t run a demagogic figure such as he himself acted in 2007-8.

3) Obama’s smoothness is getting old. All of us can almost write the next Obama speech: a) “some” say/do, but “I” say/do… The bad straw man is set up, followed by the contrast of the annointed “I” and “me” ad nauseum. b) then comes the apology for the sins of the rest of us—mitigated somewhat by the election of , yes, Barack Obama, the first black President; c) third is the impossible: spending more on health care saves more; cap and trade massive taxes will result in economies; no more lobbyists means gads of them, Bush shredded the Constitution equates into I’m copying his anti-terror protocols; d) an end with hope and change ruffles and flourishes. Bottom line: the oratory is old and trite, given the lack of commensurate accomplishments.

4) On the matter of racial landmarks, some of the voters think, rightly or wrongly, that they did their thing, proving America is not racist by the fact of Obama’s election. Now? A lot of independents, however, won’t seem obligated to vote in 2010 or 2012, motivated by the same sense of liberal assuagement of guilt. This been there/done that feeling will be accentuated should Obama’s supporters continue to play the race card as his popularity dips as a result of a statist and neo-socialist agenda.

5) We know now that the campaign was a centrist deception. Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright make logical the presence of the Truther Van Jones and Anita Dunn (cf. her encomium to Mao). His most partisan Senate record presages his near suicidal effort to ram through statist health care, tax hikes, and partisan appointments, in addition to polarizing rhetoric. His campaign promises to meet with Ahmadinejad were not only met, but again trumped by serial apologies, selling out the Poles and Czechs and outreach to Chavez and Castro. In other words, the so-called right-wing nuts who tried to scare the hell out of voters are proving to be Nostradamuses of sorts.

All sorts of things can happen. Printing and borrowing can give us a brief, though unsustainable recovery around 2010. A war could break out. We could get hit big-time again as in 9/11.

That said, I think not merely the thrill is gone, but a righteous anger about an Obama trifecta— of serial apologies and bows abroad, massive borrowing and deficit spending, and government-take overs of private spheres of life—is swelling up in the electorate. I haven’t seen in my lifetime anything quite like it. And this furor of being had has the potential not just to take Obama down, but also his ideology and supporters along with him for a generation."

Obama's Asia field trip..a complete FAILURE.

In the midst of dithering on the wars and sending the troops needed and wanted by his commanders, as well as while the economy continues to crumble and unemployment continues to skyrocket...Obama decided to take a lil trip to Asia. Not entirelly sure of fwhat the reason was for the trip. Perhaps he was just getting tired of his NUMEROUS golf outings.

The concencus on the trip by world press....a complete waste of time, and acomplishing nothing other than to be a submissive bitch while bowing ( yes bowing again... ) to emporer Akihito.

President Obama should have made clear in his private talks that the United States and Europe will act anyway if Beijing and Moscow block United Nations Security Council action.

It was also dispiriting that Mr. Obama agreed to allow China to limit his public appearances so markedly. Questions were not permitted at the so-called press conference with Mr. Hu, and his town hall meeting with future Chinese leaders in Shanghai not only had a Potemkin air, it was not even broadcast live in China. It’s obvious that the last thing Mr. Hu wanted was to get questions about issues like his brutal repression in Tibet and Xinjiang. That doesn’t explain Mr. Obama’s acquiescence in such restrictions.

"President Obama’s nine-day trip to Asia is worth a look back to fix two potent problems, past and future. First, the trip’s limited value per day of presidential effort suggests a disturbing amateurishness in managing America’s power. On top of the inexcusably clumsy review of Afghan policy and the fumbling of Mideast negotiations, the message for Mr. Obama should be clear: He should stare hard at the skills of his foreign-policy team and, more so, at his own dominant role in decision-making. Something is awry somewhere, and he’s got to fix it. …

It was not good optics for Obama to bow to Japan’s emperor. He seems to do this stuff spontaneously and inexplicably, as with his bow to the Saudi King some months ago. And it was truly unfortunate that Obama and his aides didn’t flatly insist that he be allowed to address the Chinese people directly on television and meet with non-stacked Chinese groups—as has been the case during previous presidential visits. Beijing’s leaders obviously didn’t feel confident enough of their own standing at home to give the popular Mr. Obama such access. But he and his team should have made it a precondition of the visit. The White House might try to blame the State Department (such an easy and delicious target) for the missteps. But State’s role in the conceptual planning of the trip was not central, and the department’s senior Asia hand, Kurt Campbell, surely knew better. It’s also hard to tar the National Security Council’s own senior Asia expert, Jeff Bader, another pro like Campbell. Perhaps even higher officials at the NSC dropped the ball. Perhaps Mr. Obama might take responsibility himself, as President Kennedy did after the Bay of Pigs fiasco in 1961. Now, that would truly clear the air—and open the door to some obvious and necessary changes in the administration’s decision-making machinery. Every decision, large and small, is shaped and made by the president himself and enforced by Denis McDonough, a deputy NSC adviser and the administration’s Lord High Executioner. Does Obama get enough pushback? Is he hearing a range of views? Can he see that his powerful intellect might profit from bowing to the voices of experience? If Mr. Obama reflects on the Asia journey and other mishaps, he might loosen the reins and bring in additional policy and diplomatic pros as inside counselors or outside advisers."

with support for obamacare at a new low of 38%....days after Reid jammed down a party line vote to push it through for debate....We are looking at the democrats pretty much handing over congress and the white house.

What we have here is classic liberalism. The very essence of "you the typical american are a bunch of rubes who don't know whats good for you. WE will show you how to live your lives and make all the decisions for you. Whether you like it or not. Despite how much you scream about it."

Classic elitism. DESPITE the fact that none, NONE of their plan makes sense! But just the sheer want for their ridiculous world view to actually succeed (for once) even though absolutely NONE of it works on paper. With the 2010 elections not too far down the road, we have the beginnings to correct this 'feel good' experiment that so many of you were dumb enough to fall for. (robo, countsy, etc etc).
But it will come at a price I'm afraid. With unemployment at a 10.2% rise....(amazing).
and continuing pain and hardship for countless Americans....the midterms seem far far away. But they will be here, and when they do come....Don't make the same mistake you made the last time.

For the first time...in 26 years, unemployment hit a double digit figure. More than 558,000 jobs lost in Oct. The rate jumping from 9.8 to a stunning 10.2%!!

Well there was an election the other day. Perhaps you've heard. Virginia DOWN THE LINE. Down the friggin line!
The governorship by a whopping 59 percent and democrat Deeds had paltry 41 percent.
18 points. That's called a blowout my friends.
Not only did they lose the Gov'shp, but they also lost five (possibly six) Virginia seats.
As well as:
Republican Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling also won a second term Tuesday, defeating Democrat Jody Wagner. And Republican state Sen. Ken Cuccinelli was the winner of the race for state attorney general, beating Democratic state Del. Steve Shannon.

SWEEEEEP!

In Jersey..that's NEW JERSEY..A place so blue that one would think impossible for a Repub to win there. A state that SO overwhelmingly voted for obama ,now...has turned over and voted for Republican Christie .

With a turning of the independents by OVERWHELMINGLY huge margins in Virginia AND jersey.
So what does that tell us?...It tells us that people by and large are so FREAKED by the exploding (and dangerously irresponsible) spending by the dems, that they are feeling the classic case of buyers remorse.
And are now feeling thier senses being RATTLED back! In JUST 11 MONTHS!!!

The dems..of course are trying their best to dismiss this as nothing more than 'local politics and local matters'.

That of course is laughable.
Either, the dems are total morons and really are ignorant to what has just happened and truely believe that it really is nothing at all....

Our fearless webster president to no ones surprise has turned out to be a bit of a little bitch. It's true.

That's the crit on obama and he's proving his critics right over and over and over again.
The recent much publicized war with Fox News because he doesn't like that they aren't rolling over like every other 'news' network to his every word, has shown lil webster to be a very petty and small little puss of a man.

Getting himself an 'enemies list' on anyone that does not have that 'tingle running down his leg', such as Fox News who has the 'audacity' to (GASP) actually REPORT on news stories such as his EXTREME 'czar' appointments such as Van Jones, ACCORN scandals, his string of broken promises, his lack of transparency, his massive deficits that he's racking up. His EXTREME spending. The 10% unemployment (which was to have been curbed at 8% with his ridiculous pork laden 800 billion+ 'stimulous' program of which every republican RIGHTLY declined to vote for)...the list goes on and on.

Part of the reason that he has warned other networks to "not follow Fox's lead" is because he (and he admits this) wants to 'marginalize his critics'.
He needs to really do this because he has something coming up which he doesn't want people to remember. Which is his "I wont raise taxes".
Which he will most definitely HAVE TO. And he wants no one to remember this and most of all, no one to REPORT IT.

The problem is...by warning in the most condescending way...the other networks to not follow foxs lead, puts the others which ARE ALL TRAILING fox in ratings-- in a very bad position.
It in some ways does what the nobel prize does..it UNDERLINES the very incompetence of obama AND the media.

So they (the media) are now in a spot where they either have to look like they are lap dogs for obama (which they are). OR they will feel like they now HAVE to actually do some (GASP AGAIN) actual reporting.

The latest embarrassment came this past week as the obama admin tried to leave Fox News out of the pool interview of the pay czar. The other networks voted to not interview him at all if Fox was left out. The white house, with tail tucked between its Ba-gina.... relented.

As if they ever had a choice in the matter.

Obama, is coming off as what he is. With a decline steeper and faster than any president in history....He is showing what he is.

President Obama's late-night declaration of a nationwide public health emergency last night shouldn't be allowed to obscure the most important lesson of the developing swine flu crisis - The same government that only weeks ago promised abundant supplies of swine flu vaccine by mid-October will be running your health care system under Obamacare.

On Sept. 13, Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services, told ABC's This Week program that the government was on schedule to deliver an "ample supply" of swine flu vaccine by mid-October:

"We're on track to have an ample supply rolling by the middle of October. But we may have some early vaccine as early as the first full week in October. We'll get the vaccine out the door as fast as it rolls off the production line."

But here we are five weeks later and news reports are coming in from across the nation of long waiting lines of people wanting the shot, but being turned away because of grossly inadequate supplies. The typical explanation from public health offiials is that the swine flu vaccine requires more time to be cultivated than seasonal flu vaccine.

That's no doubt true, but did federal public health officials just discover that fact? These are the same government officials who will be in charge of your health care under the government-run health care system being sought by Obama and Democratic leaders in Congress.

And the president's declaration contains this statement that is rich with irony in the context of the debate on health care reform: "The foundation of our national approach to the H1N1 flu has been preparedness at all levels -- personal, business, and government -- and this proclamation helps that effort by advancing our overall response capability," according to Fox News.

The declaration will allow waiving of federal regulations on a case-by-case basis. But how will we waive an entire government-run health care system?

Here's something else to think about: How will Obama and congressional Democrats seek to take advantage of this public health crisis? This is, after all, the administration that never lets a good crisis go to waste, right?
